KAMPNET GET-TOGETHER GARIEP DAM 13 TO 17 NOVEMBER 2024
It was a wonderfully relaxing weekend spent with the Campnet family at Gariep Dam.
On the 13th, some of the attendees arrived during the day, quickly setting up their 4×4 off-road stallion trailers, while others joined us on the 14th.
Thursday was a day to relax, get to know one another, and enjoy a “brunch” together. Later in the afternoon, we went to the hotel overlooking the Gariep Dam for sundowners. The view over the dam and its surroundings was picture-perfect. That evening, we had a braai and socialized late into the night.
Friday was another laid-back day, during which we explored the Gariep area. That evening, the Kampnet family from Trompsburg treated us to a Karoo lamb on the spit—a top-tier meal that will be talked about for a long time.
On Saturday, everyone had a relaxed morning, and at 11 a.m., we enjoyed an unforgettable boat trip on the Gariep Dam. The tour guide shared fascinating information about the dam and its surroundings. That evening, we had another relaxed braai and spent quality time together.
Sunday morning, everyone enjoyed breakfast together before starting the journey home.
It was truly a delightful and unforgettable weekend with a fantastic group of people.
