Yet again, a group of off-road adventure driven enthusiasts embarked on a trip through Botswana from August 5th to August 21st, 2023.
On our first night, we stayed at Moriti Camp, just 3 km from the Groblersbrug border post and approximately 100 km from Lephalale. After that, we spent one night at Woodlands. The following day, we had lunch at Elephants Sands and then headed to Kasane. In Kasane, we stayed for 4 days at the Big Five Chobe Safari Lodge camping site, where we visited Victoria Falls for a day and enjoyed a helicopter ride over the falls. On our way to Victoria Falls with the shuttle, we spotted wild dogs next to the road. The next day, we drove through Chobe Game Reserve, where we were fortunate to witness 15 lions that had killed a kudu. We also had a cruise on the Zambezi River and saw many animals. Afterward, we proceeded to Savuti, and the Stallion trailers effortlessly navigated the sandy Savuti road. We spent 3 nights in Savuti, where we encountered a wealth of wildlife and had daily encounters with lions.
From Savuti, we traveled to Mbudi Camp and camped next to the river. Mbudi is a camping site just outside Moremi, and we drove through Moremi via KWAI. At Mbudi Camp, we embarked on a mokoro trip and encountered hippos and elephants in the water. We also had an incredible experience encountering wild dogs at Mbudi Camp. Our next destination was Maun, where we stayed at Island Resort, a very clean and tranquil camp.
On our journey back home, we visited and camped at the Khama Rhino Sanctuary.
Throughout the tour, the Stallion’s performance was excellent, providing us with a fantastic towing experience!
