A group of 16 off-road adventure driven enthusiasts embarked on a trip through Botswana from April 30th to May 16th, 2023.
Our first stop was at Moriti Camp, located just 3 km from the Groblersbrug border post, approximately 100 km from Lephalale. After that, we visited the Rhino Sanctuary for one night, where we observed rhinos and their young, along with other wildlife. The next day, we headed to Boteti Camp at Khumaga, where we witnessed the breathtaking migration of wildebeests and zebras. Our next destination was Maun, where we stayed for one night at Crocodile Camp. From there, we proceeded to Moremi Game Reserve and stayed at Southgate Camp for three nights, enjoying daily game drives and crossing the recently reconstructed Third and Fourth bridges. One day, we went on a mokoro trip at the Tracker Dogs Mokoro Station, where we had encounters with elephants and hippos, creating an unforgettable experience.
Savuti was the next location on our agenda, and the Stallion trailers navigated the thick sand of the Savuti road seamlessly. Our three-night stay was memorable, with daily visits from a local elephant that roamed the camp and shook the Kameeldoring trees for their seeds, providing an incredible experience. We also had sightings of lions, leopards, buffaloes, hyenas, and numerous other game during our stay. From Savuti, we drove to Chobe for four nights, where we enjoyed a boat cruise on the river, followed by a day trip to Victoria Falls and a helicopter ride over the falls, offering a breathtaking sight. We made our way back through Chobe National Park, with its stunning scenery, camping among woodlands in a pristine camping spot with clean ablutions and a refreshing swimming pool.
Considering the challenging off-road conditions, the Stallion 4×4 trailers performed flawlessly, once again demonstrating their ability to thrive in off-road conditions and their durability. This trip provided the best towing experience ever, compared to our previous off-road trailers.
